THE MAX POWER SERVICE
When you order a big bore kit or stroker motor from Max Power, your cylinder / motor will be completely disassembled, parts inspected for wear and documented. (if items need repair we will contact you first).
After disassembly your original cylinder plating will be removed chemically to expose the aluminum casting. Then your cylinder will be chemically cleansed and precision machined to the specific size required, this includes all necessary port adjustments made to Max Powers' big bore specs for your make and model. Max Power uses a 48 step permanent spec sheet on every big bore cylinder we produce. Individual records are kept on every kit. This assures quality to our customers and assures when you need to order replacement parts you will get the correct parts on time.
Max Power will: Calculate deck height, squish clearance, trapped volume, port timing and compression ratio and list this on your permanent spec sheet.
Your cylinder will be coated with Apticote 2000 nickel / ceramic bore coating offering you the best in oil retention, and heat dissipation giving your motor the edge required for longevity and performance. Your cylinder will then be diamond honed with the latest honing technology, match fit to your new big bore piston.
Cylinder heads are modified to accept the larger displacement; these modifications take in to affect the octane of gasoline you run as well as how you would like the bike to respond. All modifications and CC's are documented on your permanent spec. sheet. If you sent your complete motor to Max Power, our technicians will have checked your squish clearance and compression before shipping.
Our qualified technicians will clean, machine, and re-install your powervalve assembly, timed appropriately. Carburetor jetting and gearing changes are generally necessary for optimum performance. (Our baseline suggestions are printed on your invoice.)
